Nomenclatura
Etimología
Del lat. ovatus, -a, -um = ovado, que tiene figura de huevo [lat. ovum, -i n.] -en Botánica, se refiere siempre a órganos laminares-. En la Listera ovata (L.) R. Br. (Ophrys ovata L., Orchidaceae), por la forma de las hojas.
